Birdstreet Yarn Advent 2023 – I Wish It Could Be Autumn Every Day
This year’s calendar is a little different again. Our Advent 2023 celebrates the beautiful berry, brown and jewel colours of Autumn; "I Wish It Could Be Autumn Every Day."
It brings together, in one stunning set, a palette pack of 12 of our Autumnal tonals, and 4 variegated yarns as 16 x 20g minis, curated in 4 sets of 4. These are not a fade, but definitely complement each other really well.
The colours in our illustration and the images are a clue to the colours of the Advent.
These are joined by 4 x 50g speckled yarns, bringing out pops of colours from each set of the 4 x 20g minis.
Totalling 520g of beautiful yarn, this is even more than our normal 24 x 20g minis!
This year, the advents are available on either 4ply Merino 75 or DK Merino 75 bases (SW merino / nylon 75/25).
This gorgeous set of yarn could be used in so many of your own projects, or you can enjoy a beautiful blanket, with a 4ply knitted blanket pattern by Beki Dickson AND a DK crocheted blanket recipe pattern by Clare; BOTH included in your package . Included will be a download code to the patterns, which will be listed on Ravelry, but only available to those purchasing the advent, until Boxing Day. You will be able to see black and white images of the blankets and download the pattern, from early in December.

Hand dyed yarn
4ply: each 20g mini 85m, each 50g skein 212.5m
DK: each 20g mini 45m, each 50g skein 112.5m
both are 75% super-wash Merino
25% Nylon
Hand-dyed using professional acid dyes; no two skeins are completely identical due to the nature of this process, though they are dyed in batches.
Every attempt has been made to wash any residual dye from the yarn, however a little may remain; especially with dark or vivid colours, so I recommend to hand wash separately. Reshape made products whilst damp and dry flat.
All our advent yarn is hand-washed with moisturising, dermatologically-tested hand wash.
Colours may vary between viewing monitors; every effort has been made to represent a true reflection of the yarn.
