"Aunt Sally-sparkle" is a beautiful yarn, on the festive, sparkle 4 ply base. It has a variegated base of light greens and blush-red, on our 4ply base, speckled with reds and greens.
It is a beautiful festive colourway (but too good just to be for Christmas!). It is shown here featured in the NEW Gelato Socks by @twinsetandpurl; where she used Aunt Sally on our Alpaca, silk, cashmere base; the pattern can be found on Ravelry.
Rachel describes, "As soon as I designed the Gelato Cowl, I knew I had to put the pattern on a sock. Using both knitting and crochet in the round, you cast on and knit 2x2 ribbing then you cast off and use the cast off stitches as a foundation to build your crochet onto. I designed the crochet stitches in the Gelato Cowl to look like plaid but then, the pattern made me think of waffle cones and the colours of the yarn of gelato! I chose a beautiful skein of Birdstreet Yarn to make the Gelato Socks and seeing it knitted and crocheted was so interesting."

Hand-dyed using professional acid dyes; no two skeins are completely identical due to the nature of this process, though they are dyed in batches.
Every attempt has been made to wash any residual dye from the yarn, however a little may remain; especially with dark or vivid colours, so I recommend to hand wash separately. Reshape made products whilst damp and dry flat.
All our yarn is hand-washed with dermatologically tested, anti-bacterial hand wash.
